Ren (Bishop) Luebbering is the 20-something social media specialist for Springfield Public Schools and chief inspiration officer of digital marketing consulting firm, Checkmate Consulting. She’s also a contributing writer for FEAST Magazine and 417 Magazine. She graduated from the University of Missouri in May 2012 with bachelor degrees in magazine journalism and international studies. Her professional goals include expanding the digital horizons of social media and digital marketing, while writing engaging, entertaining and informative features and stories. But when not researching or writing at her desk, she loves exploring downtown Springfield with her eyes, ears and taste buds, and she and her husband Kevin head out of town on the weekends for day-trip adventures.
She’s a bit of a foodie and wine snob, but she doesn’t take her palate too seriously; readers of Inside Columbia magazine read her profiles on CoMo restaurants for two years. Now, she’s writing short stories on the Ozarks best dishes, foodie events and favorite people for FEAST Magazine and 417 Magazine. When not perusing local menus, she loves to bake. Her favorite recipes are lemon cake, blackberry cobbler and oatmeal butterscotch cookies.
She hopes to continue living, laughing and thriving in the digital marketing industry based in Springfield, Mo., or wherever her life takes her.
